PROGRAMS
INFANT
AND TODDLER PROGRAM-Children 10 months through 20 months
This program is for infants and toddlers - children under the age of
two. These children are exposed to stimulating and developmentally appropriate
activities for their age in a nurturing and caring environment. The
activities provided help to develop the children's musical awareness,
creative movement, social skills, cognitive learning and physical skills.
Each class has two teachers with 8 -10 children, depending on the age
of the children. Priority for these classes is given to those children
with siblings in the Developmental and Preschool programs and to children
of church members. 2008/09
tuition is approximately $27.00 per day.
DEVELOPMENTAL
CLASSES -Children 21 months through 35 months
The Developmental Program is designed to enhance those skills that are
newly emerging in the young child, emphasizing gross motor development;
eye-hand coordination skills; perceptual development; auditory and visual
discrimination skills; social and emotional development. The Developmental
program has been expanded to include all children in the school who
are 21 through 35 months.
Developmental 1
21 months to 23 months
This class is designed for children who turn 2 years old between October
and December. This class meets one day a week, on Wednesdays, and incorporates
a gross motor curriculum suited to these children's developing skills.
2008/09 tuition is $1,053.
Developmental 2
24 months-32 months
These classes are offered to children who turn 2 years old between January
and September. The gross motor curriculum is followed throughout the
year in these classes. They meet 2 days a week, on Monday and Friday
mornings, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and on Tuesday and Thursday
afternoons.
2008/09 tuition is $2,052.
Developmental 3
33 months-35 Months
This class is set up for children who turn 3 between October and December.
The Developmental gross motor curriculum is followed in the beginning
with a transition made into a nursery school curriculum during the year.

NURSERY
SCHOOL CLASSES-Children 3 and 4 years of age
3 and 2
day 3 year olds
Classes are for children who will be 3 by September 30.
2008/09 tuition for 3 day classes is $2,619.
2008/09 tuition for the 2 day class is $2,052.
5 and 3 day 4 year olds
Classes are for children who will be 4 by September 30. These classes
will receive all the pre-kindergarten skills that children need to be
successful in kindergarten.
2008/09 tuition for 5 day classes is $3,438
2008/09 tuition for 3 day classes is $2,619
JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN CLASSES- Children who are 5 years old
The Junior Kindergarten
is a class offered to children who will be eligible for kindergarten,
but whose parents are electing for them to wait another year before
attending. This class, which is center based, provides hands-on experiences
that are uniquely challenging to five year olds who are growing in confidence,
maturity, responsibility and sociability. The class meets five afternoons
a week.

EXTENDED
DAY -Children 3 through 5 years of age
Three Hour Morning and Afternoon Sessions
Children, ages 3 through 5, who are attending River
Road Church Preschool Development Center are
eligible to attend the Extended Day programs. Morning and afternoon
sessions are offered. Children who participate in this program will
bring their lunch and stay from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or from 12:00
noon until 3:20 p.m. This is a low-key program in which children participate
in group activities, rest time and outside play, thus allowing parents
an additional three hours to pursue their activities.
Lunch Group
Children may also stay from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.
for lunch and outside play. Children may attend these programs on a
regular basis or on a drop-in basis.
Early Morning
Drop-off
Children, ages 3 through 5, who are enrolled in the Preschool are eligible
to use this program. Early Morning Drop-off offers child care from 8:00
a.m. until 8:55 a.m., at which time the children are taken to their
classroom. This program is available five mornings a week.
Toddler
Fun Day
An extra morning of fun is available for two year olds. This day is
on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. |
